Privacy
This is a personal, static website. It has no accounts, no comments, no forms, and no ads, and I don’t sell or share visitor data. Here is everything that collects data when you visit:
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log your IP address and request details for security and abuse prevention. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
- GoatCounter. I count page views and clicks with GoatCounter, a privacy-focused analytics service. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. I see aggregate numbers such as views per page, referrers, and browser type. View counts shown next to posts come from GoatCounter.
- Google Analytics. Blog post and page views (not the front page) are also measured with Google Analytics, which may set cookies. See how Google uses this data. You can block it with any common ad or tracker blocker without losing any part of the site.
- Your browser’s local storage. The upvote button on blog posts remembers that you voted, and view counts are cached for a few hours. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to me.
Links to other sites (GitHub, arXiv, journals, X) follow those sites’ own privacy policies.
If you email me, I keep your message only to reply to it. To ask a question about this policy or request deletion of anything you sent me, contact me.
